Last week, LeadingAge, in partnership with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Service Employees International Union, the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living, hosted a virtual town hall to discuss the latest news and address misinformation about the Omicron variant of Covid-19. HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and the United States Surgeon General, Vice Admiral Vivek H. Murthy, MD, MBA, spoke to nursing home staff about “the importance of their vaccination status, including booster shots, for your health and well being and to those around you.” Members can still view the recording.
